Topic: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

OMG this thing eats batteries like candy!  Anyone else experience this?  Do I start shopping for rechargeables or a power cord adapter???

Re: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

We are going to get rechargeables for our Innotab that we got Laney. It's insane that they don't have a built in rechargeable battery like an IPad.

Re: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

Rechargables all the way...luckily, a friend warned me and I bought new ones and a charger when she got it....she will bring it to me and say, charge it, please! It sucks batteries quick!

Re: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

Yup. Kate's burned through batteries between Christmas and New years so I went out this weekend and bought rechargables.

I just saw this online. It's pretty pricey but would save on batteries in the long run, and has the adapter.

Beckham has the thing Mel linked. It's a life saver.  Even with all these kid devices and a Kindle Fire, Beckham still much rather use the iPad or iPhone.  So I have given up and gave him the iPad!

Re: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

If I could afford 3 iPads, my kids would've gotten those for Christmas. They LOVE their Kindle Fires, though!

(and sorry, but this thread makes me so happy I don't have to deal with batteries!)

The same here! I noticed that we both grew by three Kindle Fires this Christmas wink

Re: Leap Pad 2 - Batteries

The funny thing is that I bought rechargeable batteries for my camera last week but when I put them in, they didn't work.  Because I hadn't charged them yet!  And now of course I can't find them.  *sigh*   But I may have lucked out.  I found an ac adapter and car charger for $14.99 on eBay ... minus some gift discount of $6.47.  So my total with free shipping came to $8.52.  If these things actually work I will be sooooooooo happy!
