Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

1 perfect little girl born 2013. I'm already looking at NW donors for baby number 2 (trying maybe this winter, maybe longer.) I do wish there was a greater diversity in donors, however, I love NW and doubt I will ever look further.

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

I'm curious why you ask?

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

Just invade you ladies are wondering why I am asking......
Due to my recent miscarriage I think I am just looking for hope that NW sperm is good. I know there is generally never an explanation for why these things happen, I guess part of me is just hoping the sperm doesn't expire or get damaged somehow.
I also read lots of ladies on this forum who use other sperm banks for ?..... I am not sure why actually, I think I will ask that question now.
I meant no disrespect or anything, I m just looking for hope again. I mean I know it works, since I got pregnant, I just like others don't understand why it ended in miscarriage.
Any how I would love to read more NW success baby (s) born and what year. Thank all for your responses I really appreciate it!

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

3 from NW 2006, 2008, 2010

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

What do you mean by expired or damaged??  I assumed long as the sperm is  frozen its good. PLENTY of babies have been created using NW, some keep in contact through this forum others choose not too. Its true some use others sperm banks, ive seen in many cases where one had to switch sperm banks due to  their R.E not having NW as a sperm choice on their cryobank list. Dont get discourage hun NW works! ! And im so sorry for your loss and i hope using NW will result into you having your rainbow baby.

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

People have different reasons for not using NW. I am one that used another sperm bank. I have been a customer of NW for over two years before I decided to switch. I love NW and my reason for switching wasn't because of bad quality of sperm, it was because of my location. I live in NYC and we have strict laws here that prevent NW from shipping the tank directly to my home. I had to have my swimmers shipped to NJ and then travel there to ppick them up. It became a major inconvenience after 2 years of trying so I made the switch to a bank here in Manhattan. Swimmers cost more in NYC that was my reason for staying with NW for as long as I did. My bank lets me pick up my tank for free so it worked out for me since I no longer had to pay for shipping.

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

I just had my baby girl last month. April 2013. As other posters have said, don't get discouraged. I know you had a m/c and it is the saddest thing to ever happen. Before I conceived my DD I also had a miscarriage and understand how you feel. Just know that NW does work. Whether or not you use the same donor is your decision but don't let a loss deter you from trying again. Give yourself some time to heal and know that a baby could be in your future soon!  smile

Re: How many of you ladies have had baby(s) from NW?

Lots of women miscarry, even married couples miscarry. I used another bank, but have used NW. The donor I used for my 2 babies is also the same donor I miscarried with my first pregnancy. I read that 60% of first time pregnancies end in an early miscarriage. It's just something that happens a lot of the time that are flukes. Like late fertilization, trouble with implantation, cell dividing problems.
If the sperm were damaged, they wouldn't be able to penetrate an ovum. Frozen ones that are properly stored can last years. The vials I used for my daughter was dated 2008 and the vial I used for my son was dated 2010.
