I homeschool my 9 year old daughter.  I use an online program through connections academy.  For me it was easier if I was a learning coach and she had actual teachers even though they are lower michigan. Local school considers what we do as homeschooling. Connections is free in our state thankfully or I would have been lost in finding out what I had to do.  I couldn't have her in the local school anymore.  I was used to my children being in great schools and with both the older kids getting bullied and the curriculum being horrible here I pulled her out before 3rd grade. My son decided to stay in for his senior year. My oldest daughter left for Job Corp when she was 16 because of the bulling at this school. She graduated in their business class and high school last year. She now has a 6 month old and is pregnant with her second. I love homeschooling.

You may have to change your settings to opk for detecting Ovulation.  I have used FF for 12 years now. When I am using opks I change my settings.  I don't even bother temping anymore cause mines all over the place.

2dpi I must say I hate the trigger shot side effects.  They always make me nausea. I know its way too early for pregnancy signs if I happen to be pregnant.

Good Luck.  I am like old mama with timing. Me and opks don't get a long well. lol I could never get the timing right. I can tell you what I have done. This cycle, I did mine at 20 hours and 33 1/2 hours after I triggered.  I used IUI this time, which live for about 6-12 hours.  When I did ICI's I did them at 18 and 36 hours after a positive opk. I have a tilted cervix.

ICI's live for about 12-24 hours. How often are you testing with opk's?

Good Luck.

thank you everyone smile  Last nights insemination happened around 9:30 so 33 1/2 hours after the shot.

I did the trigger shot yesterday at noon. I detest that shot.  I get so tired from it. Had hubby do the first insemination at 7:45 this morning at almost 20 hours after the shot. Then we will do it again tonight at either 8 or 9pm. which would be roughly 32/33 hours after the shot. I could feel my ovaries cramping yesterday morning and a little bit on and off during the day but nothing since. I am 44 so I wouldn't be surprised if I ovulate sooner than 36 hours.  I really hope that we have caught the egg this time around.  This is most likely our last try of the year.  If it doesn't work we will try one last time early next year before moving onto IVF.

0DPI today.

wow I am angry for you at them. That was my biggest fear that they wouldn't help me cause of my BMI and age. I'm 44. In fact my OB suggested two places that refused to work with an older woman unless they used donor eggs. Which I found is common practice for a majority of clinics not all thankfully. I researched on my own and found a RE that is wonderful and very positive. In fact I found my RE through NW's website.

Glad your OB is going to work with you. If your not already I would start charting. smile

All tests look good this morning! My +++ popped up a lot faster on the digital today so taking that as a good sign. I may or may not have paid for my own blood test out of pocket so I wouldn't have to wait until the 10th, so I'm taking that today and should have results in 1-2 days lol

Sounds like something I would.  Congratulations.

My September cycle I had spotting a couple of days then extremely light bleeding for one day and then spotting for another few days. I had two rounds of Femera/letrozole prior. I had started the third cycle and after 4 days of femera I stopped (I take it for ten days) and cancelled my u/s appointment because my period was so weird and I was still spotting.  I decided my body needed to reboot itself. Now I am waiting for my period to come and its late by a week.  I even took several pregnancy tests to make sure I wasn't pregnant cause of the weird bleeding. All bfn's.

I would start testing with opks.  Perhaps the spotting was your period. Or sit a cycle out and see how your next period is.

I know how frustrating it is.  I even planned a water park vacation for us scheduled around my cycle and now my flipping periods late.  We go this weekend to the Dells and watch my period comes while I am there.

Oh no im sorry you are going through the frustrating spotting "game".  I took a Preg test also ( BFN also) i think i am just going to let my body reset its self. I am hoping the spotting was my AF and I O this week .  Then I am hoping that i will help my body rest its self.
well i hope you dont get your AF during your water vaca but i also hope you get it soon smile

I got AF today. lol just in time for the water park. yay me lmao  I hope you O this week.  smile

My RE only does it in the mornings as well. Which is a pain cause I live 4 1/2 hours away but worth the level of care I receive there.  I would pick the 15 hours over the 40 as well.

I know timing has been talked about before numerous times.  I have searched the forum for them.  smile

My question is since I am 44 and older women tend to ovulate earlier when should I do my timing for IUI at home?  At the RE's office we did it around the 36 ish hour mark after the trigger shot.  We are doing an at home attempt this time with two IUI vials. I was thinking of at the 20 hour and 32 hour or should I do it at 18 hours and 36 hours? This is our last try for the year as I don't plan on buying any vials till next year or move onto IVF.

I always wondered how people knew too cause I never saw the count on the vials or paperwork that came with the vials.

I like that I can get 2 or 3 vials of ivf ici for a lower price. Ici regardless if ivf vials or not, live 12-24 hours so I would still have sperm in the fallopian tubes looking for an egg when I do the 2cd or 3rd ici depending on timing. I would think that would give a better chance of getting pregnant.

So far this cycle is a bfn.  So I am looking at the next cycle and trying to decide which type of vials.

Has anyone used the ivf vials at home before and gotten pregnant?  I am leaning towards using one of the ici-ivf vials and then just a ICI spaced out to 24 and 36 hours after ovulation. I can get two vials if one is a ivf vial and the other ici vial. I could get three ici-ivf vials but don't know if thats a good idea or not.

I did think of doing an IUI but don't know if that is something I want to do at home.

I am sorry another cycle cancelled. what days are they have you do the clomid? Have they mentioned using femara instead of clomid? Maybe a skipped cycle will help your next cycle that you try.

I wasn't monitored with u/s's when I was on Clomid but I did notice a difference in my periods the last few cycles on it.  I was on it for 6 cycles and all my gyno did was monitor my progestrone. When I did a consult with another doctor in the practice he didnt understand why the other doc, who had left the practice didn't monitor with an u/s.

I have been on femara/letrozole the last two cycles with monitored u/s with a RE.  My lining was 13.1 first cycle and this cycle it was 11.9 when I triggered.

I did drink pom juice with the first cycle and not the second cycle.  I wanted to see if there was any difference in drinking it.

Good luck and I hope you get your BFP.

Thats great.  Fingers crossed for you. lots of bfp dust.

I have tested out the trigger shot both cycles but am I the only one who gets sore breasts, fatigue and nausea well after its tested out?  I am 8dpi. I highly doubt I am pregnant because the fresh IUI I had done at the RE was with 3.1 mil 22%motility.  We decided to use hubby's this cycle.

Doing another cycle with the RE. I had two follicles the last cycle. Nice size(21 and 25 I think, I would have to check paperwork), my lining was 13, had triggered that night on cd10. IUI on cd 12. Unfortunately didn't work.  I have my follicle ultrasound on saturday CD 10 for this cycle.  I am on 10 days of femara and the trigger shot.

I have used preseed. Like to use it in the syringe first so no sperm is left behind.  Not sure if I like it though.  Feel like I am leaky when I use it.

I had my fsh checked on CD 3 and it was 6.8.  I do have hypothyroidism but it is under control at the last blood work 2.53 if I am remembering correctly. I know it was under 3.  The women in my family don't hit menopause till late 50's early 60's.  I realize with my age it will be harder to get pregnant but that does give me a little bit of hope.

The RE did give me plan A which is what we are doing now with the femara and the trigger shot.  She mentioned plan B if plan A does not work.  Plan B was with injectables.  Then there is IVF if those two plans do not work.
