Topic: New and a few questions

I currently have two little boys but want to try for another little one within the next 2-5 years. I saw a couple of donors I really like (#3122 to be exact) but I'm hesitant to buy any vials right now. But he's so popular that I don't really know if he'd be available in the future. I'm leaning more towards the decision to buy a few vials once they're available but wanted opinions on how many I should buy and save for a later date. I don't want to get carried away. I plan on preparing my body for conception and pregnancy next year and have already told my obgyn about my plans. I'm going to try and see if I can try at home the first few cycles and if not will see a specialist.

If anyone has any advice I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you. Feel free to ask any questions.

Re: New and a few questions

I would buy anywhere from 3-5 and put them into storage. He is a really popular donor and tends to go pretty fast especially the IUI vials. If you plan on keeping them in storage for a couple of years I would chose the yearly storage. It will save you $180 a year on storage fees. And if you get pregnant on the 1st or 2nd try and you don't need the other vials you can always sale your vials here for full price or back to the cryobank for 50%. I hope this helps  big_smile
